WELCOME TO MOUNT SINAI: A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL PHIL ROBERTS
It is my view that we should walk into the classrooms of today and see children actively collaborating and problem-solving whilst engaging in deeper learning experiences with persistence. Diverse technology should be supporting teaching and multiple modes of learning, providing personalised challenges and most importantly we should see supportive and caring relationship building.
To develop true learners for life considerable research supports the physical transformation of classrooms to allow for meaningful, relevant and personalised learning. Our parents recognise that the classroom of today, cannot, and should not be, the classroom they experienced.
We should walk into the classrooms of today and see... relationship building.
Our teachers communicate with care and passion – they make learning fun and exciting. Great teachers have higher expectations of the student than the student has of him/herself.
We aim to develop optimistic, critical and creative thinkers who will become learners for life. The atmosphere at Mount Sinai is infused with the energy of happy and purposeful learning.
I encourage you to be involved in the educational journey and be part of the wider school community.
Phil Roberts
