Core Values

"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, but that every child should be given the wish to learn."

Core Values

From Preschool through to Year 6, our College nurtures children in Modern Orthodox Jewish values, resulting in alumni that the wider community continues to appreciate and recognise. We aim to be active in ensuring Jewish continuity and tradition delivered with a modern relevance to enrich your child’s education.

For over 30 years we have adhered to a meaningful Jewish value system, inherent in all that the school says and does, ensuring that our students graduate upholding the values for which Mount Sinai College has become renowned. Our 6 Kinds of Best Values program is integrated in all aspects of school life. Every child knows, abides by and recognises the value in being:

  • Kind to Others
  • Kind to Yourself
  • Kind to the Environment
  • The Achieving Kind
  • The Learning Kind
  • The Community Kind

We are guided by four values

We Care

We Care

About our students, their overall development, our school values, our families, each other and the wellbeing and development of our staff.

We take risks

We take risks

We want to challenge ourselves & be the best. Our College continues to innovate & we believe calculated, vision & risk leads to reward.

We dream

We dream

About what and who we can be and how we can get there. We create a vision and then connect this vision to a strategy to achieve success.

We expect

We expect

So much more of our students than they expect of themselves – encouraging them always to move forward on their journey as learners for life.
