Dual Model

From January 2022, our Prep School Readiness class will operate under a dual model, offering families a choice in fees and attendance for their child.

What will this mean for my child starting preparatory in 2022?

ACECQA approval now allows us to operate our preparatory school readiness program under the same framework as Apsley ELC:

  • longer hours (7:30 am – 6 pm),
  • no term breaks,
  • access to the government Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Operating our preparatory program as an ELC will allow families to sign up for 3, 4 or 5 days a week for 48 weeks of the year and to access CCS.

We will also be offering families the choice of signing up to our current preparatory program which requires attendance full time, 5 days a week in term times only (38 weeks of the year). This option would not attract the government child care subsidy but may be preferable for some families.

Both models will continue to integrate a holistic preschool program led by university-qualified Early Childhood Educators who create an environment where fun and educational play experiences, spontaneous activities and guided learning encounters provide your child with the social and emotional support needed to enter into the Primary school environment.
