General Questions

Each child is treated individually to ensure that their abilities are nurtured to give them maximum potential for lifelong development. Our Educational Program provides for a wide range of developmental interests and abilities.

We understand that a child’s learning does not occur in narrowly defined subject areas, their learning and development are integrated. An activity that stimulates one dimension of development and learning affects other dimensions as well.

Our curriculum planning is based on teacher observations, recordings of each child’s special interests and developmental progress. Goals and predictions are based on regular evaluation and reflection.

General Questions

The importance of learning through play is recognised, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), together with a number of educational philosophies (including Reggio Emilia), guide the teachers' practices.

Children's interests and strengths influence the daily program and families are encouraged to be involved in their child's educational journey and become part of the wider school community.

General Questions

All our classrooms are led by experienced University qualified Early Childhood Teachers, and our Assistant Educators are also highly qualified (TAFE & University).

These educators continuously enrich their practices through ongoing professional development. Our Early Learning Centre provides quality educational resources and constructs purposeful learning environments to allow for meaningful interactions and experiences.

General Questions

  • Extensive opportunities flow through our comprehensive curriculum which emphasises families, the Jewish Identity, religion, traditions and festivals.
  • From the moment each child arrives they are actively involved in a myriad of learning experiences that are presented through both play and teacher-directed group times.
  • Special events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Grandparents & Special Friends Day are celebrated with gusto.
  • Our educators regularly and purposefully observe the children and the learning program is developed in response to individual interests and needs.

General Questions

The Early Learning Centre and Preparatory currently reside on two campuses. The children begin their educational journey at the Early Learning Centre at the Apsley Campus and then progress to Preparatory on the College Campus at Maroubra for the year before they begin Kindergarten.
