Parents Association (PA)

Our active PA welcomes your involvement. The PA raises funds for the school through a variety of activities as well as creating ‘Mount Sinai Moments’ where our purpose is to create long lasting memories for our children, parents and staff. The PA facilitates a WhatsApp group for each grade. This is moderated by a parent who is nominated as a voluntary grade representative. This parent representative will organise social events and communicate social information on behalf of the PA. For PA representatives, order forms, contacts for grade representatives etc. refer to SkoolBag.

School Communication

The newsletter is distributed electronically to all parents each Thursday afternoon via email. It has important information, notices and community details and should be read carefully every week.

The SkoolBag App is the main repository for all school information and resources. Ensure notifications are turned on so you receive all updates. Click here for the SkoolBag App guide.

SeeSaw is used for simple parent communication between teachers regarding homework. The application allows all students to build a student portfolio. ELC and Prep use the application to complete daily reflections. New parents will be sent a link and a QR code to download this app at the start of the school year.

Class lists including the names of students in each class and parent contact details are available on request from Reception. These are regularly updated with changes to parent contacts and class member changes so please request a new list each time you need it.

Teacher-Parent Communication Feedback

Grade evenings for Prep – Year 6 and Parent Information Evening for ELC are held in the first few weeks of the school year. Parent Teacher interviews are held twice a year, in Terms 1 and 3. School Reports are distributed twice a year, in Terms 2 and 4. Teachers will share student work and class messages via the SeeSaw App. Contact your child’s teacher directly if you wish to arrange a meeting to discuss your child’s progress.

Car-Park and Drive-Through

Any vehicle entering the car park on the main campus must display a sticker available from Reception.

The parking spaces in the school car park are reserved for Prep parents only as they are required to sign their child in and out of school. A special permit is issued to Prep parents at the start of the school year. This must be displayed on the dashboard if parking in these spaces. The drive-through operates morning and afternoon for drop-off and pick-up.

Strict rules apply to the use of drive-through and all drivers must comply with the procedures available on the SkoolBag App.

Attendance, Early Leave and Late

If you are picking your child up early from school, please go to Reception to sign your child out and collect them. If they return to school, you will need to sign them back in.

If your child is absent for the day, please email your child’s class teachers directly.

If your child is late more than 5 times per term, a consequence will be given (unless prior consent has been given).
